The facility received FSC “chain of custody” certification in September 2008. This type of certification traces FSC certified timber through the production chain and enables Nampak Cartons & Labels Epping to demonstrate that it uses responsibly produced raw materials. FSC products come from sustainable and well-managed forests.

This is another first for Nampak Cartons & Labels Epping, which was the first packaging facility in Africa to achieve IS0 22000 (Food Safety) certification in December 2007. In June 2007, the facility became HACCP (Sans 10330) certified too.
